SKILLS AND SELF-EXPLORATION
Visual Arts, Music and the Dramatic Arts make up the cultural offering at Applewood Preparatory. Our cultural programme aims to introduce the children to a range of skills and opportunities for self-exploration.
Every child is an artist. We try to retain that freedom of expression as they grow up. Art gives our children the opportunity to create poetry that is seen.
The Visual Arts Department is situated in a beautiful studio that lends itself to a creative and inspirational atmosphere. The Arts improve concentration, confidence and lateral thinking while having fun, learning and exploring.
Art disciplines on offer include painting, drawing, textiles and clay work. Design skills are developed through a variety of techniques and media.
Creative learning develops a well-rounded individual by integrating the imagination with other core class themes. Emphasis is placed on our eco-friendly ethos by recycling, upcycling, and encouraging awareness of our environment.
